Pass the Plate

This September we are celebrating all things rugby, but it’s not just the World Cup that we’re getting behind, we’re doing our bit for charity too. We’ve teamed up with the rugby charity, Wooden Spoon, and in particular their ‘Pass the Plate’ campaign, providing support for food banks and community schemes up and down the country. The partnership will help people struggling to feed their families in these challenging economic times and will contribute to putting food on the plates of many.

On September 21st we’re walking 10 miles starting from The Phoenix in Victoria, visiting all our sister pubs along the way, through Mayfair, Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury, King’s Cross, Farringdon, Southbank, Westminster and ending at the Marquess of Anglesey in Covent Garden. Our traditional dray pulled by our beautiful Shire horses will join us at the start line and finish, ready for a party to celebrate Young’s 192nd birthday!
